In this episode, we are joined by special guest Heather Giasson, who is passionate about embracing and engaging with emotions. Heather reminds us of the importance of making space for our emotions to truly acknowledge them. Instead of trying to hide or push emotions away, we should be asking –what are they trying to tell me or help me with? And when it comes to emotions it’s not just about focusing on the ‘good’ ones, all emotions serve a purpose and hold valuable information for our own personal growth and development. Also, listen to find out the worst question you might be asking when it comes to your emotions.
About the Guest: Heather Giassonis a Registered Acupuncturist in Victoria BC, with her practice focusing on injury recovery in a bio-psychosocial integrative care philosophy. Her fascination with how emotions can often be the key factor to treatment led her on a search for more. She discovered a book called the Language of Emotions and the work of Karla McLaren called Dynamic Emotional Integration (DEI), and she knew she had found her home.
